ADDITIONAL NOTES:
Sloping floors in the bedrooms were created when the basement was first finished several decades ago, probably to facilitate water drainage.
The basement has been completely dry since completion and re-sealing of the concrete patio/driveway, competed in the winter of 2005.
Prior to 1993, the house had a seasonally wet basement. Installation of the concrete patio and upper drainage system in 1993 resolved the problem. The drainage system directs storm water around the carport and down into the back yard where it connects to drainage continuing to Summer Street.
All cedar decking was replaced in approximately 2001.
The 2004-2006 renovation included removal of stairs in the kitchen area (at the location of the present refrigerator), installation of the new spiral staircase, removing two wall sections resulting in the enlarged living room and enlarged kitchen. The renovation also included creation of the two skylight vaults, three skylights, loft, carport, insulated windows, and washer-dryer alcove.
