The house is located in an area called the 'Banana Belt' of Colorado. This area has the perfect weather all year round! Located on the west side of town, three blocks off of Main Street, this house was built in 1898 and than redone inside and out, with added additions such as double carport, double garage, huge kitchen, and bathroom.
The 'Country Kitchen'(24 ft 3' x 13 ft 7'), with laundry area (6 ft x 5 ft) on the one side, has a new paint, counter top, sink garbage disposal and more. The appliances are not new, but all work fine. The stove is gas, and the dryer is electric. The wood stove that stands in the kitchen is what we use as a main soarse of heat, but the house does have baseboard electric heat and a gas heater.
The bathroom (11 ft 8' x 5 ft), which is located off of the kitchen, has fresh paint, new floor, and some new fixtures.
The downstairs bedroom (7 ft 7' x 9 ft 9'), located across from the bathroom is used as an office for now, but can be converted into a huge bedroom if you don't have any dogs, adding an additional 5 ft x 7 ft with a huge closet by removing the wall that is between this room and the doggie room.
The doggie room (7 ft 7' x 5 ft)has baseboard heating, it's own window, and a doggy door that leads out to an approximately 15 ft x 40 ft fenced in area. As said earlier, the wall can be removed, thus making a bigger lower bedroom.
The living room (15 ft 4' x 14 ft 4') is spacious, with French doors that lead out to the redwood deck and play area. There are two coat closets, and the gas heater is also in the living room. The front door goes out to the fenced front yard.
The front yard is landscaped and set up with an automatic drip, water system, which covers four flower beds, the grass, and the front shrubs. On the north side of the house is the doggie yard. Located on the south side of the house, off the living room French doors, is the 14 ft x 16 ft redwood deck and a children's play area, all enclosed by a 6 ft fence for your privacy.
The upstairs bedroom is fair in size (15 ft 4' x 17 ft 4'), but the walk-in closet (6 ft x 12 ft) takes up a good piece of the bedroom. The bedroom window overlooks the deck on teh south side of the house.
The computer room (7 ft 8' x 15 ft 4'), located off of the bedroom upstairs is small and comfy, but would make a nice infant room.
The dual carport, which is 27 ft 4' x 23 ft 6', and the garage/workshop, which is 27 ft 4' x 25 ft, are both attached to the house. There is plenty of storage in the garage itself, and in the attic which is above the garage. The garage has double drywall for sound proofing, a swamp cooler, intake fan, exhaust fan, and 110/220 electric power. The garage has so much room that some of the space in it could be easily converted into an extra room or just left the way it is.
Note: We will work with you on the appliances if you are not satisfied with their looks and age.
